Madrid Facts
Madrid, the capital of Spain, currently has a population in the city of around 3.5 million, the population of the community of Madrid, which includes many of the surrounding areas of Madrid, all together; boast a population of just over 6,369,000, in 2011.
Madrid has a Continental Mediterranean climate, in winter though it can get very cold, due to the altitude, which can bring temperatures to freezing level and the possibility of snow. Summertime is usually in the 30 (86F) – 40º (104) mark.

Beautifully kept parks and gardens in the city make Madrid one of the greenest capitals of Europe.
